My CD collection

pile of CDs I wasn’t sure about adding this to my blog or media section, but in the end I decided to put it here.

I can’t remember when I first started collecting CDs. When I was way younger, like 13 years old, I was a big fan of Tokio Hotel. I had all of their CDs, but besides that, I didn’t own a lot, and probably my mother threw them in the trash lol.

The first CD in my collection is Sarı Çizmeli Mehmet Ağa by Barış Manço. It was a Christmas present from my boyfriend since I was really obsessed with Turkish Anatolian rock.

Overall, all my CDs are second-hand, from various genres, mostly Turkish music, but all genres are very different from each other: metal, pop, reggaeton, rap, rock, and classical. Singers singing in Spanish, Turkish, and English. God, I love music.

Also, every time I travel, I try to buy at least one CD. I bought Planet Earth by Prince in Paris, lots of Turkish CDs in Istanbul, and from my latest trip to Mexico, I got one of my favorite albums of all time, Caifanes, by, you guessed it, Caifanes.

As you can see in the picture, my favorite singer is Sezen Aksu; listening to her makes me feel energized, happy, melancholic, in love, and so on, depending on the song. It is a pity she doesn’t do concerts anymore; I would sell my kidney to see her singing live.

My weirdest album case is La Joia by Bad Gyal. I love the diamond in the middle, clear case, and gold CD; it's just chef's kiss.

I’ve been trying to save money, so I haven’t gotten any other albums recently, but maybe in a few days for my birthday I will gift myself another one.

Anyways, if you’d like to find new music or see my recommendations from the physical albums I own, take a look at the following videos. Thank you for reading!

Caifanes - Te estoy mirando

Sezen Aksu - Bırak Beni

Rosalía - La Combi Versace

Ghost - Jigolo Har Megiddo
